Bradley Shaw is the Head of Business Development for Southern Africa at Spinlet, Africas leading music streaming service. With a passion for the telecommunications industry, he is familiar with the latest breaking news and developing stories that affect the vast telecoms arena on the African continent.
Shaw brings with him a proven track record for developing and growing business partnerships on the African continent and together with his ability to think out of the box and his financial background, will ensure that Spinlet can look forward to significant customer acquisition and retention for its music offering. Understanding the unique needs and desires of a diverse continent will help and his recent exposure to the technology realm and the attendant insight, will be of invaluable assistance in growing this brand into a household favourite.
Shaw also features regularly on the speaking circuit and moderates at various industry conferences, these including the Mobile World Congress (2013), AfricaCom (2010, 2011 & 2012), Digital Services Africa (2011, 2012 & 2013), Apps World Africa (2011), Data Centre Africa (2012) and LTE Africa (2013)
Recognised as a credible voice in the evolving telcos industry, particularly in the mobile market, Shaw was also invited to be a judge at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Global Mobile Awards held in Barcelona. He also judged the Satcom Stars Awards in 2012 (Satellite Industry Awards) as well as the AfricaCom awards in 2012 and now 2013 in Cape Town.
Prior to joining Spinlet, he was involved the Managing Editor of Africa Telecoms and Tech Editor of Rolling Stone (Magazines) and prior to that worked in the fields of financial accounting, financial services and recruitment industries, and was Associate Publisher of a large business-to-business publication, which has stood him in great stead for his current role and direction.
He is married, with two children, and enjoys the outdoors, is an avid golfer and makes his home in the creative capital of South Africa, Cape Town.
