Dr. Philip Boigner

Webit Speaker, Vice President - TIG Ecosystem Technology Investment at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority

Dr. Philip Boigner was appointed in 2011 as the Technology Investment Director of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA). In two years time, Dr. Philip was promoted to Vice President - Technology Investment.

Dr. Boigner brings with him rich industry know-how and executive leadership skills through his roles at prominent multinational corporations and financial institutions across Europe, Australia and USA. 

Prior to joining DSO, Dr. Boigner was the Managing Director of PBI Group SA at Monte-Carlo in Monaco, where offering consultancy on portfolio management, technology and life science investments was his primary focus. During his tenure, he also set up risk management procedures and provided insight on the placement of venture capital firms with funds and family offices.

Dr. Boigner’s professional capacities include his role as Director at Moravia Capital, a boutique investment bank. Responsible for the Zurich and Dubai offices, he was mandated to oversee the development of and fundraising for alternative investment funds.

Dr. Boigner holds two Doctorate degrees in finance and business from the Sophia Antipolis University – Nice, France; and the International University of Monaco. Dr. Philip also holds a Masters in Law, Business and Economics from Sophia Antipolis University; an MBA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA; a MSc in Information Systems as well as a B.S. in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, USA. Dr. Philip is also a certified Islamic Finance Executive by the “Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance”.
