Dr. Mahmut Kurşun

Mahmut Kurşun had his BS degree from Bosphorus University in Mechanical Engineering.He also had his MS and PhD from the same university in Industrial Engineering. He started his career in the finance sector, and took part in the financing of energy and mining projects of Ciner Group during 1997-2003. After the acquisition of the Sabah/ATV media group in 2003 by Ciner, he started to work in the restructuring of the IT operations, and established a solid internet presence for the Group. In 2007, he took part in the foundation of a brand new newspaper, called Gazete Haberturk, with second biggest hybrid press facility in Europe. He later developed and deployed NRCS for group televisions during the foundation of BloombergHT channel.
He is also a part-time lecturer in New Media department at Kadir Has University. He is the Vice President of the Board of IAB Turkey and President of IAB Turkey Technical Committee.
