Jesus Mantas

Jesus Mantas is the global leader of Strategy, Offerings, Technology Assets and M&A for IBM Global Business Services (GBS), a $17B unit of IBM. He is responsible for driving innovation and embedding Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, IoT, Cloud, Quantum computing and Data Science in GBS offerings and services to help clients transform and create exponential value. Jesus also has responsibility for the IBM Institute of Business Value, the thought leadership arm of IBM. 

Jesus is a member of GBS' Global Operating and Global Executive Teams, IBM chairman’s acceleration team and co-chairs the IBM Hispanic diversity council. He is passionate about technology, leadership development, diversity, inclusion and developing learning agility for his teams. Jesus is the chair of the Hispanic Executive Council that provides mentorship, career development and skill transformation opportunities to IBM’s Hispanic constituency. He has co-funded two AI startups and mentors a number of entrepreneurs. 

Jesus has held IBM various P&L leadership positions during the last 10 years. Jesus launched in 2015 the world’s largest cognitive consulting practice, rated #1 in the last 2 years by leading analysts. He lived in Sao Paulo for 4 years and led IBM Latin America Global Business services through 17 quarters of consecutive growth. He led Global Business Services for the Enterprise Sector in North America, and he was one of the key visionaries behind enterprise mobility and “Smarter Planet” solutions at IBM. 

Jesus joined IBM from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a partner in the High Technology Practice, and a lecturer at the University of California Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business. He has a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and Software Engineering, a Business Administration degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain and served as an officer in the Air Force of Spain. He received multiple awards for his contributions, including “Great Minds in STEM” Corporate Executive Excellence Award, “Top 100 Hispanic IT executives (HITEC)” award, and Top Global Leader in Consulting for Excellence in Innovation.
