Andrew Macadam



Andrew is the Managing Director for Microsoft Startups in Western Europe, covering 15 countries, where he engages to identify, support and develop startups who have the potential to be incredible business partners with Microsoft. Andrew focuses on developing new partners by helping startups grow, develop new revenue, and engage with the Microsoft sales team to close new business. This enables our customers to be engaged with some of the most innovative companies on the planet and accelerate their adoption of cloud technology.

Prior to this role, Andrew was the Customer Success Lead for Microsoft Ireland involving responsibility for enabling customers to realise the value of their investment in Microsoft. With the increased complexity of technology solutions, Andrew’s team was responsible for driving the adoption of the technology through enabling partner engagements and the highly experienced team of Solution Architects and Customer Success Managers. Andrew also led the European Azure Sales Team, covering 12 countries and driving adoption of Microsoft’s cloud platform across Europe’s largest Enterprise Customers.

Before joining Microsoft, Andrew worked for a leading mobile operator, where he was the Head of Digital running all the digital sales and marketing activity for their highly trafficked site. It was in this role that Andrew recognised the opportunity that cloud presented to transform the way business could drive down costs, increase agility and enable innovation

He holds an International MBA through Henley College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Sheffield University.

Andrew’s home is Greystones, Ireland, and is married with 2 children. He is a voracious reader, a keen photographer, and passionate about sports having been a season ticket holder for Leinster Rugby since 2001.
