Senior Business Leader, Digital Payments Lead Central and Eastern European Markets, Mastercard Worldwide

Brian Morris is Mastercard Digital Payments Product Lead for Central and Eastern Europe. Brian focuses on leading the Mastercard Digital Innovation product development and roll-out in these fast growing and dynamic markets.

The scope of his work covers the development and implementation of new digital initiatives, the formation of partnerships with local industry players, digital platform management and expansion as well as the development of an Innovation strategy. He works with financial institutions, mobile network operators, NFC and Digital Wallet platform partners and a variety of industry contributors.

Brian joined Mastercard as Acceptance Development Manager, ensuring that Mastercard’s efforts to migrate to EMV chip cards were coordinated with acquirers and terminal vendors. He then worked on e-commerce product development with the European launch of SecureCode and has had a variety of leadership roles in the Emerging Payments area.

Brian began his career as a graduate trainee at the Royal Bank of Scotland in the United Kingdom. Following this position he worked for British Telecom in a variety of product management and strategic roles and then moved to De La Rue Fortronic, a point-of-sale terminal manufacturer in the UK.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Mr Morris earned an Honours degree in Marketing (and pass degrees in both French and Italian languages) from Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
