Emerging Smart Cities Award Award


The Emerging Smart Cities Award celebrates the municipalities that have recently launched ambitious and innovative programmes which pave their way to becoming Smart cities in the near future.

This award serves as inspiration for cities at an early smart stage to strive for further success.

Eligibility

We welcome entries from municipalities and their leaders. Eligible candidate can be a municipality which has integrated energy asset management initiatives, platforms and systems, has found waste management solution, air pollution solution, which supports the development and usage of electric cars, etc.

The award entrants must demonstrate that the entry has been developed, operated or been available during and/or by the end of March 2018.

Criteria

The winner will be selected according to the following criteria:
- Strategic overview (including clear identification of issues and planned tactics for solving them)
- Timeline and achieved results (target vs actual results)
- Attracted investments
- Citizen feedback and engagement levels
- Creative approach to smart city transformation
- All entries must be operating and available during and/or until the end of March 2018.


Entry Deadlines & Key Dates

The Deadline for entries is May 15th 2018

Winners will be announced at the Webit Awards Ceremony in Arena Armeec on June 26th 2018
